Еще одно воспоминание из детства – телевизор. Окно в мир и его отражение, предмет и вестник катастрофы, он сообщает о происходящем крушении мира.
Отталкиваясь от этой навязчивой телевизионной идеи, художник изобретает объемную архитектурную конструкцию, опорой которой служит телевизор, кренящий все здание, но исправляющий вертикальность символа. Эта конструкция – полу-церковь, полу-печь, создает ощущение абсолютной устойчивости при кривизне главного элемента. На стерильно-пустых и гладких стенах отражается проекция тихого мира – улитки. Изображения этих животных-гермафродитов на поверхности здания символизируют невежество и нечувствительность к внутренним и более глубинным потрясениям.
Another childhood memory is TV. A window to the world and its reflection, the object and messenger of the catastrophe, it reports that the world is being collapsed.
From this haunting televisual idea, the artist imagines a voluminous architecture supported by a TV set, which heels the edifice but fixes the vertical line of the symbol. The construction represents a half-church, half-stove, and creates the sense of unruffled stability even considering the wry key element. On the sterile and flat walls, a silent world is projected – these are snails. The images of these hermaphrodite animals on the surface of the building symbolize the ignorance and insusceptibility towards inner and deeper shocks.
Un autre souvenir d’enfance : la télévision. Fenêtre et reflet sur le monde, l’objet est messager de catastrophe, il rapporte que l’humanité est en train de s’écrouler.
De cette hantise télévisuelle, l’artiste imagine une architecture volumineuse, mi-église, mi-poêle russe, soutenue par un poste de télévision qui fait pencher tout l’édifice. A son sommet s’érige en guise de drapeau et de croix, un escargot, symbolisant l’union de l’Etat et du spirituel. Droit sur son pic, il vient rétablir la verticale comme pour assurer que tout est à sa place. Sur les parois lisses et stériles de la construction rampe une population silencieuse d’escargots. Ils traduisent une imperturbabilité aux bouleversements intérieurs et plus profonds de la structure. |
